Child and Vunerable Adult Protection

St John's Cathedral is committed to the policies of the Catholic Church in England and Wales to protect children and young people as well as vulnerable adults from neglect, physical, emotional and sexual abuse and to promote a safe environment for them. All parish organisations working with these groups are supervised by at least one registered person who has been vetted through enhanced police checks.

The Parish Child Protection Representative deals with all vetting procedures and acts a contact point for protection issues. He can be reached through the Parish Secretary. All communications are dealt with in confidence.

Entering a new chapter...

Cathedral TrustThe Cathedral is entering a new chapter, which will improve physical and intellectual access to the Cathedral. A new site has been set up to detail the development projects. Please take a look at cathedraltrust.org.uk.

Please take time to explore our site. We are always looking for ways to improve this website. We hope to aid your experience and answer your questions. We always welcome comments whether left in the guestbook or sent directly to us via email.
